Photo & Content Licensing Policy

Simply put, if someone sees my content on your channels, they should be able to find their way back to me. That means proper credit, no image manipulation, no commercial use without a license, and no substituting my affiliate links. Everything is detailed below.

This policy covers all content published by The Gold Hive on thegoldhive.com, Instagram, Pinterest, Substack, and any other platforms.

For everyone

Credit must appear where a reader first encounters the content — not buried in a footer, byline, or end-of-article note.

On Instagram

Tag @thegoldhive within the first 120 characters of your caption, before any "more" break. To share a post, use Instagram's native reshare tools. If using a screengrab, follow the website credit rules.

In an article

Credit "Ashley of The Gold Hive" directly beneath each image and at first mention in the body copy. Link to the original post, not the homepage. A footer credit alone is not sufficient.

On Pinterest

Link all pins back to the specific post where the image originally appeared. Do not download and re-upload images as original pins.

Photos and videos may not be filtered, color-corrected, watermarked, or manipulated in any way, including with AI tools.

Do not substitute or remove my affiliate links.

For brand partners

When we work together on a paid campaign, I encourage you to share our contracted project in the following ways:

  • Re-sharing Reels or static images to your brand's Instagram Stories
  • Posting campaign images to your brand's Instagram feed using the Collaborator feature to co-publish to both feeds
  • Featuring campaign images in your newsletter or on your website to promote our partnership

If you want to use assets I created within our campaign for your marketing, a license is required and covers the following:

$500 / photo / year $1,000 / short-form video / year
  • Paid digital advertising — social, display, and search
  • Print advertising, catalogs, and direct mail
  • Website or email use beyond the campaign promotion period
  • Any use where I am not credited
Never permitted — brand partners
  • Using content for commercial use without a license
  • Implying endorsement beyond the scope of the contracted campaign
  • Anything prohibited under the universal rules above

For press & media outlets

Featuring my work in articles, roundups, gift guides, and editorial coverage is welcome. Editorial use is for coverage only — not advertising, sponsored content, or any placement used to sell.

Never permitted — press & media
  • Using content in advertising or sponsored content of any kind
  • Republishing an entire project or blog post as standalone content
  • Anything prohibited under the universal rules above

For fellow creators

Sharing my content to recommend it to your audience is welcome. Follow the rules in "For everyone" above.

Never permitted — fellow creators
  • Presenting my home or projects as your own
  • Sourcing or recreating my content for a brand campaign
  • Anything prohibited under the universal rules above

A note on AI

My images and videos may not be uploaded into any AI platform, including for: modifying them to fit your own aesthetic, altering them to imply they are your original work, using them as style references to generate derivative images, or incorporating them into AI-generated compositions.

My photos, videos, and written content may not be used to train, fine-tune, or develop any AI or machine learning model — with or without attribution, individually or in collection. This includes content obtained through scraping, embedding, or third-party datasets.
