Weekly Roundup

Melissa of The Faux Martha gave her laundry room a refresh and it's so perfectly simple yet charming. It's not fussy and that's what I love about everything she does.

Well, with fall around the corner, I think I need this in every color.

Not even beautiful architecture can fix a Kinkade painting. What a weird mashup.

San Diego's Architectural Foundation hosts an annual Orchids and Onions program where folks vote for the best and worst of new architecture, parks, and installations. Some of the pieces are really cool and worth admiring in person if you're local. But I'm shocked that this onion (in my opinion) is nominated for an orchid!

I've been watching Christa fix up her home for awhile and she just finished her kitchen. I love the dark cabinets, the marble, the hood, and the wood island, and those two pups definitely add to the appeal.

Sarah of Room for Tuesday teamed up with Joanna of Jojotastic to remodel Joanna’s kitchen and I can’t wait to see the results. Here are the plans and the before photos and the beginning of demo.

Speaking of Sarah I’m hangin’ out with that gal in Salt Lake City at the very moment that you're reading this. We’re taking the Park City Showcase of Homes by storm! Stay tuned on Instagram where I'll be sure to share photos of the houses we tour and also some Utah scenery.

Behr announced its 2019 color of the year. It looks kinda like its 2018 predecessor color.

Johnna sold her beautiful A-frame cabin. Those are some lucky new homeowners!

I need to hurry and make this matcha and peach pie before the peach season ends. Or maybe I should avoid the calories and just admire the beautiful pie decor.

I add songs to my monthly playlist and I just wrapped up August. My playlists are always eclectic and filled with songs that are either new, long-time favorites, significant to the month (RIP Aretha), heard on a TV show, or just popped into my head. Enjoy!

If you don't have Spotify, you'll only be able to preview those tracks, but you can make a free account easy peasy to hear the full-length tracks. You can follow me and each playlist as I build it throughout the month.

Happy long weekend and almost-fall!
