I’m back! Sorta. I’ve taken time away for maternity leave, but I’m going to make my way back to the blog. Slowly but surely.

I’ve been on the hunt for candlesticks that are shallow enough to fit on the marble ledge in the kitchen. Most have too wide a base to fit on the 2.5” overhang. But I found these and they fit perfectly! I got all of the different sizes and now I can plop a tapered candle anywhere I please. The candles pictured above are vintage from a local reseller, but here are some similar ones.

Hey San Diegans! SDG&E is giving away free trees to homeowners with space to plant! No catch, you just have to plant them, water them, and tend to them. I’ve been taking monthly photos of Margot in a bassinet next to flora of the season. But I recently remembered I have a mini Instax camera, so now I’m photographing her weekly with the Polaroid-like film just like Kim did.

This mid-century home is a new build! It seems straight out of the 1960s, but was built and furnished in 2021.

Margot now has a strict 7 pm bedtime, so we’re able to get some quality TV watching done after she goes to bed. Recently, we’ve been watching The Other Two on HBO. Molly Shannon and Ken Marino, need I say more?
