We have tile, folks! And not just any tile - it’s colorful, custom designed, a bit historic, and a bit funky. I overthought the colors, layout, and grout colors to the umpteenth degree but it’s all paid off.

If you forgot about my bathroom addition, I don’t blame you - I kinda did too! The project has been on hold with absolutely zero movement for two years. Until now. Since I haven’t talked a lot about it recently, I’m getting lots of questions about this mysterious room in the house.

I used to write these renovation updates in terms of weeks, but things are just so. slow. moving. So instead of a week 4 update, it’s just the 4th update in the series because it’s actually been 7 weeks of renovation. But, we’re making progress, and in this post, I’m here to chat all about plumbing! Spoiler: things started to suck this week.

We FINALLY have a construction permit to do our kitchen renovation. FIN.AL.LY. Whew. It’s taken awhile to get here for a number of reasons that I’ll share here. I’ll break down the steps we took, the costs we’ve incurred, and some of the story behind everything.
