Primary Bathroom Wallpaper Is Up!

The wallpaper is in! I repeat - colorful, striped, floral wallpaper is in!

I debated wallpaper options for ages, and ultimately picked Trousseau in Berry by Dado Atelier.

Over the past couple of years, I’ve shifted how I want my home to feel. And right now, I’m embracing fun, playful, and colorful designs. This paper fits the bill!

I know it isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, and I realize it looks like the wallpapers many people recently removed from their 1980’s decorated homes. Hey, it even reminds me of my childhood bedroom wallpaper! But, that’s part of the fun of the evolution of design.

I decided on this paper for the combination of blues, maroons, and pinks that pair with the shower and floor tile. My initial design was to do color blocking with different hues - even a wallpaper in a different color (green? yellow?). But then this perfect marriage of the existing colors came along and its felt just right.

To tone down all of the wallpaper (yeah, i’ll admit it’s a lot!), we still have decor, a mirror, and towels to hang on the walls. Plus, window casing, door trim, a backspash, and…

…marble baseboards!

The marble backsplash and baseboards have been tucked underneath our bed for a few months waiting for paper to go up. Soon, we’ll install these to finish the edges on the whole space. They definitely elevate the design, so I can’t wait to see them installed.

Stay tuned for more!
