Weekly Roundup

I’m still gravitating towards more layered color and still struggling with how I can incorporate it into my style and my home. I’m getting inspired by all of the colorful rooms and slowly pinning them to this Pinterest board. Above is the Hôtel Les Deux Gars which is full of beautiful design.

Thank you all so much for your kind words on my blog post the other day about the flooring fiasco. It’s amazing having such a supporting group of people cheering me on. I wish I could share my cheerleaders with you all whenever you’re DIYing! I forgot that I had set up a GoPro during the floor refinishing process. Have you been watching the newest season of Pen15? I’ve come to realize that it’s best enjoyed by people that were in middle school in the year 2000 (like I was) but it’s such a funny, weird, uncomfortable look at that period of life. I have a really hard time getting through it because it hits so so close to home. I generally don’t get that worked up, but one of the recent episodes had me in tears. It’s beautiful, painful, and funny - my favorite combination of entertainment!

If that isn’t your speed, I recommend My Octopus Teacher. It’s the story of a human that creates a connection with a wild sea creature and takes you on a journey through the waters off the coast of South Africa. It shows the vulnerability and beauty of nature in a sentimental narrative.

I just started my October playlist and I’ll be adding to it throughout the month.
