Weekly Roundup

Wait, when did it become October?!

Spices The Gold Hive-0005.jpg

I bought two different vintage spice racks for the kitchen and waited a whole year before deciding on which one to hang. This dark green one is the winner! It perfectly fits our spice jars so well that when I tried to mimic an earthquake by shaking the rack, they didn’t budge at all. I’m going to get some tiny hooks to put on the bottom of the rack to hang some herbs from the garden to dry. But I can only take it one step at a time, people!

The sleeplessness has me being a bit more clumsy and forgetful, so with a series of incidents, I broke our tea kettle. We use it for tea, coffee, baby bottle prep, and all other hot water needs, so we needed a replacement. Even though it comes at a high price point, I bought the exact same kettle I broke because we like it so much. It has a built-in thermometer and is very pretty.

I’ll take one of each pattern for all of my wallpaper and textile needs, please.

I’ve been looking for new curtains for Margot’s room that won’t break the bank but aren’t plain. Pattern on pattern with a pinch pleat, or bust. I’m eyeing these, but should I go so bold as these?

I pressed some flowers that were in bloom in the yard when Margot was born and now that they’re dry, I’ve ordered this frame to keep them in.

Quick question, where do people store the clunky baby bathtubs when used in the kitchen sink? I just store the wet thing on the counter to dry overnight, then never put it away because it gets used every day. Am I about to dedicate a big kitchen drawer to a wet bathtub?

I try not to leave the house with a bunch of fussy stuff (except for baby gear, now) so I’ve been minimizing my wallet every few years from one that used to hole 800 gift cards a decade ago to this.

Now looking around my house to see where I can paint botanicals.

I feel this.

I normally fill my monthly playlists with a bunch of tunes, but I guess I haven’t been so inspired because I only got a few songs on my list this month. Oops. Here they are, though!
