Weekly Roundup

Bathroom wallpaper is here! It won’t be installed for a few weeks, so I’ll just sit patiently(ish) and wait.

I was deciding between these papers but ultimately decided on the Trousseau Wallpaper from Dado Atelier in the color Berry. Mark your calendars for a November 14 installation day!

I also ordered a vintage wall-mounted toothbrush holder, I’m considering this mirror, and I’m thiiiis close to picking sconces.

I’ve been a Dr. Becky fan for years - well before pregnancy, even - so I was quick to buy her book. She also has a great podcast on parenting.

I just picked up this book on a new way to think about abortion at my local bookstore

We don’t watch a ton of standup comedy but this special was great!

We’ve been enjoying the show, Los Espookys - especially Tati!

What Modern Buildings Can Learn from Indigenous Architecture

I’ve officially turned over my garden beds for fall and I planted seeds from San Diego Seed Company which is a great resource for any locals!

I upgraded our garden hose from a pile of rubber knotted on the ground to this spiffy retractable and compact wall-mounted hose reel. (AD) It’s already changed the way we water plants and clean furniture in the backyard - for the better! I’m not always posting updates on the blog, but I do share snippets over on Instagram. Check out the most perfect rainbow, the sweetest view(s) in the house, a dizzying renovation progress, 5 kitchen reno regrets, and more over on my Instagram here.

Our yard is overflowing with butternut squash so I made this and it’s like a healthy (non-dairy) mac n cheese. Another version (and many other great recipes) are in her cookbook.

I ordered this for our Halloween costume - any guesses?

This dude plays Heardle every day, and I love tuning in.

Speaking of music, I’ve been slacking on my monthly playlists, but I’m back with some sweet tunes I’ve been enjoying in October:

Happy Halloween!
