Winter 2020 House Tour Video

I did a deep clean and organization because blogger superstars Julia and Chris of chrislovesjulia.com came over to my little abode the other day! Since the house is super-duper tidy, I filmed my annual house tour. I love these little videos to give you a lay of the land and to look back on year after year to see the changes. I wish I could say my house is always in tip-top shape for anyone that comes by, but let’s be honest - the house is only this tidy thanks to Chris and Julia’s visit.

I filmed this tour yesterday, so this is how she looks right this very second and when CLJ was here. While you watch, you can pretend to be Julia or Chris as you virtually stroll through.

As you probably know, we’re gearing up for a kitchen renovation, so you’ll see the beginnings of demolition. The kitchen isn’t much of a looker right now because the fridge is on the wrong side of the room, I pulled off trim, I started removing cabinets, and there’s a hole in the floor. There’s always something under construction or something I want to change. But that’s the fun of these videos - reflecting year after year comparing the changes.

Did you notice all the changes? The beginning of kitchen demo, the master bedroom board and batten, the new back door, the backyard seating area, the lack of a tree, the new (old) salvaged windows, the new artwork, the paint in the hutch, the new (old) side table, the historic designation, the new landscape lighting, the new outdoor drying racks and line, the new roof, and all sorts of little odds and ends.

For a really fun look back, check out the photos of when we first bought the house (take a look at before and after side-by-sides here) five years ago! There’s still much more to do, so subscribe to the blog and subscribe to my YouTube channel so you don’t miss out!
